🎓 Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Management, Finance, Accounting, Data Management or similar field (preferred)
✅ Required Skills & Qualifications
- Prior work experience in Finance disciplines such as:
- Accounting, Financial Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Management Reporting, Treasury, Tax, Banking
- Strong knowledge of relational database concepts & data management
- Hands-on with SQL or query languages
- Familiarity with Agile methodology
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Previous experience collaborating with Technology teams to deploy financial systems
- Excellent written & verbal communication
- Strong organizational skills to manage deadlines & multiple projects
- Self-motivated & proactive mindset
🔑 Key Responsibilities
As a Financial Systems Analyst at Amex, you will:
- Analyze & document Finance processes and system requirements
- Collaborate with Finance process owners to gather data, transformation, and reporting needs
- Work with product teams to prioritize features and manage data requirements
- Design solutions in partnership with Technology & Finance stakeholders
- Ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance finance systems
- Deploy, test, and validate finance systems & integrations
- Support data acquisition, enrichment, and provisioning processes
- Create and execute test plans for system implementations
🌍 About the Role
This role is part of the Finance, Technology & Transformation group at American Express.
- You’ll be responsible for end-to-end data & process architecture for finance solutions.
- Work across multiple lines of business to support Financial, Operational, Regulatory, and Management Reporting, as well as Advanced Analytics processes.
- Be at the center of data-driven finance transformation at Amex.
