🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field OR equivalent experience.
- Proven experience coding in one or more languages: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python.
- Experience with object-oriented programming or managed code (C#, Java, C++, Go, etc.).
- 1+ years of professional software engineering experience (designing, building, testing large-scale systems).
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft and customer/government security screening requirements.
- Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check (on hire/transfer and every two years).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 1+ years’ experience with cloud services or distributed computing.
- Familiarity with REST-based service design.
- Hands-on experience in live-site operations, incident response, and system reliability.
🛠 Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define user requirements and dependencies.
- Design and implement code for highly available, globally distributed services.
- Solve engineering challenges in data management, durability, scale, performance, and security.
- Work across Azure teams to ensure seamless resiliency integrations.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for monitoring and resolving service interruptions.
- Continuously improve reliability, cost-efficiency, observability, and performance.
