About the Role
As an Application Developer – Google Cloud FullStack at IBM, you will work closely with clients to co-create solutions for real-world challenges. This role offers exposure to cloud technologies, data engineering, and full-stack development, with opportunities to contribute to innovative projects powered by AI, hybrid cloud, and enterprise-scale solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support scalable, high-quality systems and interfaces.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical specifications for generative AI and cloud projects.
- Work across the entire system architecture to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Build and optimize data pipelines, architectures, and datasets.
- Support data transformation, metadata management, and workflow automation.
- Perform root cause analysis on data issues to answer key business questions.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases (SQL, Postgres, DB2, MongoDB).
- Develop and maintain integrations using APIs and modern frameworks (React, AngularJS, Bootstrap, JQuery).
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving system performance and reliability.
Required Technical & Professional Skills
- SQL authoring, query optimization, and cost optimization (primarily on BigQuery).
- Python (object-oriented programming).
- Experience with data pipeline & streaming tools: Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Hadoop, Spark Streaming.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience building scalable data architectures and workflows.
- Knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and cloud data stores.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and working with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of multiple operating systems (Linux, Windows, iOS, Android).
