About the Role

Barclays is hiring Data Analysts to strengthen its Data & Analytics function. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building data pipelines, improving data quality, and extracting actionable insights that help optimize operations and drive innovation across the organization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (mandatory).
• Hands-on experience with Python / Spark.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Understanding of big data architecture with tools like Hive / Impala.
• Familiarity with microservices concepts.
• Exposure to Workday payroll processes is a plus.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge

• Industry standards for data & security frameworks (preferably within HR).
• Functional knowledge of Workday core HCM & Recruitment.
• Experience with Workday Prism Analytics.
• Data cleansing, preprocessing, and exploratory data analysis.
• Translating business questions into data definitions & mapping documents.
• Automating data testing with Python or BI tools like Qlik.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with product managers, developers, and testers.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze data quality issues (lineage, controls, source identification).
• Perform data cleansing, transformation, and preparation for analysis.
• Design & build data pipelines to automate data processing.
• Apply advanced analytics, including Machine Learning & AI, for business problem-solving.
• Document findings and provide recommendations for data quality improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure insights drive strategic business decisions.
