🎓 Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in:
- Computer Science
- Computer Engineering
- Electronic Engineering
- Or a related technical field
Minimum Experience:
- 2+ years of experience working in:
- Cloud infrastructure support
- Networking and service desk operations
- Operations-style IT environments
🧠 Key Skills & Competencies
- Experience with Linux, web services, networking, and databases
- Hands-on experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
- Knowledge of GKE and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (preferred)
- Understanding of monitoring concepts:
- Infrastructure and application health
- System availability, latency, and performance
- End-to-end monitoring
- Knowledge of scripting and query languages:
- Python, HTML, SQL, PromQL
- Familiarity with REST APIs and PowerShell
- Entry-level cloud/network/security certifications from:
- AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, or equivalent vendors
- Experience (1+ year) with ITIL processes:
- Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge & Event Management
- Experience handling production environments
📌 Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cloud dashboards and system alerts continuously
- Resolve basic issues and escalate complex or critical incidents
- Coordinate with internal teams and occasionally with customers
- Ensure adherence to customer SLAs and escalate delays when necessary
- Document troubleshooting and issue resolution activities
- Monitor case backlogs and share regular status reports with stakeholders
- Participate in weekend/on-call shifts as required
- Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support a 16×7×365 environment
🏢 About the Role
As a key member of the Cloud Engineering Team, the Cloud Engineer II will:
- Monitor and respond to cloud events and alerts
- Execute scheduled manual cloud operations
- Ensure timely escalation of system and application issues
- Maintain high service reliability and operational excellence
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to react quickly in a production cloud environment.
